ComForcare is excited to announce its support of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Its mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; to advocate for policy change; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
ComForcare has pledged to make a difference in the lives of the more than 5.3 million Americans with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers by helping to raise awareness and provide financial support for the Alzheimer’s Association.
As a Champion of the Alzheimer’s Association, ComForcare is excited to announce its participation in the 2009 Memory Walk National Team Program as a MEMBER level team. We have also committed to raising awareness about the importance of early detection by joining the Association’s Alzheimer’s Early Detection Alliance (AEDA).
ComForcare is working diligently with the Alzheimer’s Association because it recognizes the strong leadership it provides in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. As a supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association, we can help raise national awareness of the disease and give back to the local communities where we work and live.
Working with the Alzheimer’s Association motivates our caregivers through training and team-building exercises. Ultimately, ComForcare’s involvement will empower our employees to make a difference in communities nationwide. ComForcare is excited to continue playing a vital role in improving the lives of people living with Alzheimer’s disease.
We have committed to recruiting 50 fundraising teams within the ComForcare organization and raising $100,000 by April 30, 2010! You can help us reach this goal by forming a team. Invite three people, and they’ll invite three people- and before you know it, you’ll have a team. Invite family, friends and colleagues to join a team and raise funds!
Alzheimer's disease is devastating to individuals (and their families), robbing them of their memory, dignity, health, and eventually, their life. Unless something is done, the number of Americans with the disease will increase to 16 million by 2050.
The Alzheimer’s Association has formed the AEDA to help educate the public about the warning signs of Alzheimer's, the importance of early detection and the resources available for help.
ComForcare is committed to this effort and has become an official member of AEDA. Our participation will help the Alzheimer’s Association spread the word about the disease as widely as possible. All of our caregivers will receive training as it relates to Alzheimer’s and how to fight this debilitating disease.
