Caregiver Jobs in Canada (PSW / Home Support Worker Careers at ComForCare)

We’re on the Lookout for Caring and Compassionate Team Members

Our Caregivers are the heart and soul of what we do. At ComForCare, we like to celebrate successes and have fun while building meaningful relationships.
  • Help others, and make a difference in your community.
  • Build meaningful relationships with your clients.
  • Flexible schedules available.

The ComForCare Caregiver Difference

As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to work with clients one-on-one in a home setting. Our individualized approach to care provides the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with your client. Your day-to-day will include assisting them with their daily activities and providing care to encourage independence and help them stay safe in their own homes.

We work hard to match you with clients who are a great fit for your personality, skills, lifestyle and goals. By cooking a meal, connecting through music, gardening or even painting together, you will have the opportunity to leverage your interests to help your clients live their best lives possible.

ComForCare provides the necessary training and support to help you be successful and grow in your Caregiving role. Our specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care techniques provide you with the necessary tools to keep your clients at their best at every stage of dementia.

Not only does Caregiving provide the opportunity to make meaningful connections, but it also provides the opportunity for a flexible schedule. Whether you’re looking to work full-time or just a few hours each day, we have opportunities to meet your needs.

Live your best life possible by helping others live theirs.

What Caregivers Do Day-to-Day

Our caregivers help clients live safely and independently at home. Typical responsibilities can include:

  • Personal care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, safe transfers, and positioning.
  • Medication reminders and documenting changes in condition.
  • Meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery support, and maintaining a safe environment in the home. (Removing fall hazards, assisting with safe use of walkers or wheelchairs, etc.)
  • Companionship and emotional support — conversation, meaningful activities, and regular check-ins to reduce isolation.
  • Transportation to appointments and errands (where permitted; a valid driver’s licence may be required).

You’ll work 1-on-1 in the client’s home — not in an institution — which lets you actually see your impact and build trust over time.

"Always there if you need guidance."

I worked for a while now and the management is very kind and friendly to you when it comes to introducing you to a client. They're very thorough with the care plans and always are there if you need guidance. I'm pretty happy with working here.

Personal Support Worker (Current Employee) - North York, ON

"Very Friendly Environment."

I have been working with ComforCare for almost two years. I have learned a lot working with this company, especially with the elderly with dementia. Working with my clients gives me joy to see that I could help and remind them that we are here to help them in their time of need.

What You Need to Work as a Caregiver With ComForCare

Most of our Canadian locations look for one or more of the following:

  • Experience supporting seniors or adults with disabilities at home, in a facility, or through family caregiving
  • PSW (Personal Support Worker) / HCA / Home Support Worker training, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • A valid driver’s licence for roles that include errands or appointments
  • The ability to pass background screening and reference checks — we take client safety seriously

International applicants:
Canada offers immigration pathways for qualified home care workers through federal caregiver programs focused on permanent residence or temporary work permits. Some programs are now closed to new applicants (for example, the Live-in Caregiver Program and earlier pilots), while newer Home Care Worker Immigration pilots outline how experienced caregivers can apply for permanent residence.

Each ComForCare location is independently owned and operated. Eligibility, sponsorship options, and requirements may vary by province and by office.
